I would "assume" that crash testing IS completed i.e. EURO NCAP - even on a low volume car manufacturer like Morgan.
I have just looked at the chassis images I took at the factory, I cannot "see" any readily deformable area's - however, that is not to say there are some.
Sospan - is 100% correct:
"you are on a public road so driving as if you stole it is stupid. After a while you can check straight line acceleration on a good road by building up to it. Pushing hard into corners is a big mistake until you have learned a bit about the car"
The new PlusFour - will not alter the above, get to appreciate the car and the power delivery...slowly. It really goes without saying...doesn't it?

Every guy is different but what Sospan rightly says reminds me of my weekend with the AMG GTC. I was full of respect on the first day and first got to know the car, its dimensions etc. I was very slow and cautious to get to know the great performance. This was not a "head decision" but a very intuitive approach to a car that I first had to get to know from scratch. With a powerful Morgan without driving aids this behaviour is all the more urgent.

I agree with the above sentiments but can we be sure the driver didn't suffer a medical emergency causing this catastrophe ? The average demograph of Morgan ownership is right in the stroke/heart attack territory.

Learnt with the Aero not to apply too much power until it is perfectly straight following a turn - otherwise bad things happen.

I feel you are all jumping to conclusions, we don't know the the details of the accident, was he returning at the end of a test drive. Did condions cause the accident, who knows. A good friend of mine in Met police , traffic division was involved in a Chase he lost it and took the four wheeler off the car on the pavement, said it was the worst moment of his career sitting there with the blue lightes on with no wheels on his car. He was a fully trained pursuit drver.

Sorry if I touched a raw nerve Mark, I mentioned it as I have jumped to the wrong conclusion on the cause of an accident before all the facts came out.

I wes chatting to a new Plus Six owner a few weeks back who has also had Plus 8's, Roadsters and Aeros and he said that out of all the Morgans he's owned, this is the most potent in terms of low to mid range acceleration to the point where he thinks MMC ought to put new owners through a safety track day as part of the deal
He thinks new Plus Six owners new to Morgans having only had experience of modern driver assisted sports cars or inexperienced with old school race cars could get themselves into some serious trouble
Recent events make me feel he is absolutely bob on
