As I continue down the personalization path over the long winter, one of the things that has been bothering me for awhile is the jarring gold color of the steering quick disconnect. Just doesn't look right in the context of the retro vibe I'm seeking. So I whipped off the QD, removed the snap ring, did a quick disassembly and clean then off to be anodized black. Now it fades into the background, not calling attention to itself. Mission accomplished.

Nice. I've had the steering cowl leather covered to match the interior. I hate the sight of plastic :-)

Painted plastic cowling gloss black. Kept quick release hub gold.

Anodized black hub looks nice.

It’s fun to make the M3W our own.

A French proverb says: " LE DIABLE EST DANS LES DETAILS "the devil is in the details !"
Translation: even the smallest details are important wink

Very nice, Sportster!

I like the Bluemels, but this wooden steering wheel is superb! Who has made it?
