My Ctek has been playing up. It won’t skip through the modes when the button is pressed. It has gradually got worse with several button presses needed and today failed to switch modes. The battery connected light comes on ok but that is all.
A search on google found a common problem with units a couple/few years old is dust affecting the microswitch for selecting the mode. The unit is well sealed so odd that dust would be an issue.
So, stripped it down. Easy enough. Flipped the circuit board to get at the switch. The top button lifts off. Sprayed it a couple of times with contact cleaner. Reassembled and whoopee! Back to working as new. The only “fiddle” was making sure the input and output cables were fitted back correctly to enable the cover to be screwed back on.

I have 3 of them and have had to do the same with them over time, they get full of crud and just need a good clean out.

Never heard of that issue but did have one die on me. Thanks for the tip.

When I touched my new Morgan I got that tingly feeling. Thought it was just a Morgan thing but I suspect that its the isolation breaking down in the Ctek. Time to get a replacement frown
