My 1980 4/4 4 seater doesn't have any webbing between the hood hoops - should it have? I understand why the webbing is used but mine doesn't look as though it's ever had any - no fixing holes on the underside of the hoops.

Does anyone out there have a 1970' or 1980's 4 seater, that has webbing on the hoops, that could show me some pictures of how it's fixed to the hoops please?

Not a 4 seater, but mine ('76) was fixed with loops of the webbing around the hood frames - no holes in the framesticks.

Wrapped a couple of turns round the top, then stitched. Bottom is tacked.

Thanks for the replies. TBM - so the webbing only goes to the first hoop then? I assume the others just lock into place once that first one is held?

That's certainly the case on mine.

Same on my 2-seater and the webbing goes to both hoops.

Hi TBM - I've installed the webbing straps on the rear hoop - thanks for you pictures and advise.
