It’s a beautiful Morning and I need to visit Aldi.

But is it appropriate to use the Morgan?

Only me on this shopping trip, so loads of carrier bag space, but does it send the wrong message using a fair weather toy in these sunny dark days?

Almost took the Audi but weakened and took the Aero. I was looking for the possibility of negativity from motorists and pedestrians but didn’t detect any at all - a chap in the Aldi car park asked if it was okay to take a closer look and seemed happy to see it.

Who knows what people are thinking, but can’t go through life worrying about it.

I guess it has to be a personal choice though on wether to use a frivolous sports car on an essential journey.

How would Joe public know it wasn't your only vehicle anyway...

Everyone I have encountered have smiled in the time honoured Morgan way whilst I have shopped for ailing neighbours and it brings a smile to someone's face at this time it's a good thing in my book.

p.s. This is about the 3rd thread running on this issue innocent

I don't see why not - it's a journey that has to be made (unless you have provisions delivered).
Morgans still bring a smile to peoples' faces, probably more so in today's difficult times smile
Mind you, I did take the MINI just now - needs a weekly run to top up battery and derust the brake discs.

Logic dictates, Mr Spock, that it is not the type of vehicle that you use, but the number of times you use it (and therefore the number of exposures you experience)…..
Not all of the public human race apply logic though....
I wonder what people would think if one turned up with a wheelbarrow...

I will probably use the Mog for a shop later in the week. Only 3 miles each way. I don’t like leaving the car unused for too long anyway. Hopefully enough room to park responsibly. I will leave the engine running when back home to get the fan going.

I will use it. People have so far only smiled & waved. I see lots of classics at the local supermarket now

Just been to work, three site visits pre arranged, no contact with people and sensible with access gates etc. 75mile round trip in the sun, thoroughly enjoyable and keeps the heart strong. I've got another old banger for family trips, but I dont see why the Morgan should be classed as any less than my normal car. Had a great conversation with builders on site, social distancing observed, and they absolutely loved to see it, as did the head teacher at another site, and the family walking past on the third. Looking forward to tomorrow's trip round the Cotswolds laugh2
