Yes, low light with bright areas/light sources is hard to manage in a digital camera. Mine is a Lumix DMC FZ72 bridge camera. A decent spec for general photography but does lack some ability to extend settings in the way that a SLR can.
I haven’t really explored photoshopping yet. But it is planned as a time filler over the next few weeks.

I actually use Corel PaintShop Pro which I have been using from the very early days before Corel acquired it. At the time I started PhotoShop, whilst undoubtedly a more advanced package, was, and to my mind still is, ridiculously expensive. PaintShop can be purchased outright and used for as long as you like without having to pay for an upgrade until you feel you need one. It will do most things that a non professional photographer would want or need.

I have downloaded Irfan software. It is free and similar to photoshop. Just starting to get a feel for it at the moment.
Corel is expensive! OK for a pro.

Same here. Also saw three smaller things travelling south to north, soon after the ISS, and at a similar speed.

I missed those but when the ISS was just prior to it's zenith with us a couple of shooting stars appeared of very short duration.
