No new motorsport on the TV for obvious reasons, but spotted this

Channel 4, Wed 3rd, 00:05 - 01:50am a new Documentary about Formula E

May be worth setting the old Betamax

A certain irony on the timing of this program about electric racing as this is when the demand for electricity is probably at it's lowest..

Here for a good time not a long time!!

I endured around 5 minutes of one of those races - it's as exciting as watching someone else playing with Scaletrix doh never again..

I've been watching old footage from Santa Pod. For someone with a 10 second attention span when it comes to normal Motorsport it's the perfect solution smile

10,000bhp and 0 - 300mph in about 4 secs smile smile

That's more like it a bit of drama and the right sound track, these boys and girls have balls of steel unbelievable, they are just sitting behind an explosion waiting to happen.

I watched a demo run at Snetterton at one race meeting a long time ago and he lost control and it flipped it was not a pretty sight and didn't end well for him.

p.s. the Swiss and German hill climb championships are a good view and sound track too.

And for those in U.K. with Sky. New section called Sky Documentaries has a 1hr 44m programme called Ferrari: Race to Immortality. Billed as chronicling the early years of the Scuderia Ferrari racing team. Just downloading now!

I live about 3miles from Santa Pod, so it's always a good garden soundtrack. Usually go to the FIA/FIM Championship events twice a year. As you say, when it goes wrong, it's usually pretty spectacular! I was there when this one happened......

I can also cope with Hill Climbs, as again, it suits my attention span. Can't bear any roundy roundy stuff smile

Lucky boy having that so close, he got lucky with that crash they have to be insane to do that on bikes.

Thruxton is the nearest circuit to me and I've been up to watch the British Superbikes with my son as he is a biker, no longer here so I don't have the excuse now but the real sense of speed there was good and they have to be crazy to do it but lovely guys to talk with.

They hold the BTCC there but I find that boring so don't bother.

We have an annual VSCC hill climb at Wiscombe which I go to every so often and meet up with a TM pal and that's a good day out.

I am 10 mins from Thruxton if you are ever up this way Rich. Try and give me warning as I am superglued to this damn headset these days. Still thats better then being a bum-in-a-Boeing.

Just time to burn a little more petrol before dinner.
