And for those in U.K. with Sky. New section called Sky Documentaries has a 1hr 44m programme called Ferrari: Race to Immortality. Billed as chronicling the early years of the Scuderia Ferrari racing team. Just downloading now!
That's more like it a bit of drama and the right sound track, these boys and girls have balls of steel unbelievable, they are just sitting behind an explosion waiting to happen.
I watched a demo run at Snetterton at one race meeting a long time ago and he lost control and it flipped it was not a pretty site and didn't end well for him.
p.s. the Swiss and German hill climb championships are a good view and sound track too.
I live about 3miles from Santa Pod, so it's always a good garden soundtrack. Usually go to the FIA/FIM Championship events twice a year. As you say, when it goes wrong, it's usually pretty spectacular! I was there when this one happened......
I can also cope with Hill Climbs, as again, it suits my attention span. Can't bear any roundy roundy stuff
Lucky boy having that so close, he got lucky with that crash they have to be insane to do that on bikes.
Thruxton is the nearest circuit to me and I've been up to watch the British Superbikes with my son as he is a biker, no longer here so I don't have the excuse now but the real sense of speed there was good and they have to be crazy to do it but lovely guys to talk with.
They hold the BTCC there but I find that boring so don't bother.
We have an annual VSCC hill climb at Wiscombe which I go to every so often and meet up with a TM pal and that's a good day out.
