This one on a Belgian roadsters looks to be very well made and fitting well unlike a lot I've seen over the years. I would prefer more rear window but hey it's all about personal choice.

That looks the same as my factory fit, bar the rear window surround. However the rear window is the same shape as mine. (2011 4/4)

So maybe a factory job plus mods - is yours fairly effective water wise ?

It looks the business but I bet that paint is a problem to clean. I too would want a bigger window.

Not so much a problem to clean as it is to buff into a high shine. smile. My ARP4 was ordered in a matte red, by Krazy Horse, before it got to me, and I did wonder how difficult it was going to be to clean, but in practice it has not been a problem. It is a remarkably tough finish. What is hard however is matching it, as it really depends on how the paint is applied as to how it will look when dry. I'm talking more about a whole panel or wing, rather than touching up small stone chips.

Hard tops are an interesting conundrum on what is essentially an open car. Unless they are daily drivers all year round, which very few are, then I can't see the point, as much as I would like a hardtop. In winter it would only be driven on cold clear sunny days, from choice and in the summer, it is either open, or the hood is sufficient.

I had a hard top for my MX5 which was a daily driver. It made the car a little quieter and had a heated rear screen which was a small benefit. The downside was if you had a nice day in winter it was too much hassle to take it off as well as having to store it all summer. If I had a soft top daily driver I still wouldn’t other with a hard top now. ...but we are all different.

Rich, it is totally water proof and the car is used all winter as it is my runabout. Soft top goes on each year for the summer. Hard top stands up against the wall in my shed when not in use.Winter

Thanks IcePack that is good to hear this one does look really well fitted compared to some I've seen which really do look a bit hit and miss and you really shouldn't need to start putting neoprene everywhere to compensate for poor manufacturing processes should you ? I have an aversion to anything stuck on as an afterthought including badge bars etc hide

Your car looks wonderful with the top, what is the badge ? Sorry I was born asking questions and never stopped...

It's the variety that we can exercise that makes these cars so special thumbs

Good to hear you are another year round user there are a few of us on here.

Very nice overall look, but to me that rear window looks a little 'steam punk'
