Fantastic picture Richard, love how clearly the relief is shown - it's a bit bumpy in Wales isn't it!

Yes David I love the perspective from up there and I agree with you on the lumpy bits in Wales, we drove there a few times when No2 Daughter was studying Law in Aberystwyth but it never seemed too hilly but always interesting particularly Brecon. The first time we went via the Elan valley and that was pretty scenery too they have some great drivers roads.

Lovely picture Rich
Makes you realise how small our own little parts of the world actually are (poor English I know).

Satellites offer some awesome views. Google Earth is pretty good and zooming down reveals decent detail until the limits are reached. How up to date the views are depends on the refresh frequency though.
Aerial views from a plane can be good too. I took some from the police helicopter on my phone when on a training flight. A great perspective of some local landmarks.

Great view of the ISS going over tonight, and also Jupiter very bright. Plus the little bit of light left in the sky enable us to see a Tawny Owl fly across the lawn in from of us, and a couple of bats seemed to be circling around us too!
