That;s frustrating - I was hoping to pop in on the way home from Cornwall in September. Even 'accidently' booked a B&B nearby so I could 'stumble across it' and the Mrs would let me go......

You could keep the stopover and get some brownie points in the bag by offering a trip here.

We can work on that one Graham a bit later on too, it looks like a good visit, maybe there and Yeovilton keep it all flying things until Haynes opens up again.

We went to the Hawk Conservancy a few years ago. We were staying with friends and were told that they had arranged for us all to meet their son & grandchildren there. So we went along hoping for an interesting hour and a picnic. We ran out of time - we had a super day. The mix of birds to see plus flying displays was mesmerising. You haven’t lived if you haven’t seen breakfast time in a vulture colony. Thoroughly recommended - but take the good camera and a selection of lenses.

Thanks for that Paul we'll leave plenty of time, I'll leave the photography to Graham I think.

We had quite a large group of Taffmoggers going to the jersey car festival this year and I had organised a stop off at Haynes museum on the way down to the ferry but it will have to wait till next year something to look forward to.

My late little bruv utterly loved the Hawk Conservancy. Part of his estate is helping to cover the cost of a new area there. In fact Florence’s official name, given by my parents, is Troy, which is the name of an injured owl that can’t fly far from the ground and is referenced on a plaque under our bonnet! I even have a picture of said owl on my Morgan bunch of keys.
Recommend a visit there
