I think it's just a sinister looking black winch with posh white rope on it..

I do like your description better though..

Richard,
just wait a few years. Now we have p****ed off China, left the EU and are printing money it will only get cheaper as the ROW struggles with inflation unlike us.
I looks like a converted tug to me.

John, I'm liking your world thumbnail view there and who knows it could well happen it just seems to me that absolutely anything can happen these days and does.

It's a functional looking craft for sure but even the anchor shute and portals had stainless facings.

A very upmarket craft indeed. I suspect though given my skills in the stock market etc the UK will get hammered and now is the time to sell your house for a weeks cruise. Mind you miracles do happen, I had my annual blood test etc today at the doctors & I have lost 3 kg despite lockdown. Who knew Abbot ale & red wine aides weight loss

John: How have you managed to lose weight?
Obviously, my gin, wine and Bounty Bar diet is less effective.

Richard; I do like Seawolf. You kept that quiet!
laugh2

My son spent time in URNU, when at university. The Sussex Uni ship was HMS Pursuer, an Archer Class patrol ship. Slightly smaller than Seawolf but a fantastic looking bit of kit.

John lets hope trips can be planned soon it helps a lot being able to get away a bit, I can't wait for Haynes/Yeovilton to reopen and we can have our three muskateers trip smile

Simon -- you know what it's like one doesn't like to brag about such things, it works out at £13,500 a person per week....
