After my very slow morning run today - it was, after all, quite warm. sunny I decided to take Megan out for a blast. Perfect weather and it was one way of getting a breeze. I missed my usual turning and found myself on some previously untravelled(by me) roads. It was very pleasant tootling along with virtually nobody else on the road. I had almost forgotten the joys of the little lanes of South Derbyshire. drive Eventually I hit the A50 and had a good blast back home and cleared some of the gunge out of the car`s system.
I spotted a driving school car on my way - Jude`s Driving School. I had a bit of a chuckle and wondered if the owner realised that St. Jude is the patron saint of lost causes.
I also saw that my little green indicator arrow was going ten to the dozen, but decided to get home before changing the bulb. Two minutes of a job (thought I!), two screws and Robert is your Dad`s brother. BUT this is a Morgan. Top screw just turned uselessly and when bottom screw was removed. I realised that the top screw was not doing anything as the female part of the connection was at right angles to where it should be and was buried behind the rest of the fitting. By judicious use of a cocktail stick , I managed to align it again and half an hour later I had a working and secure nearside indicator. The joys of Morgans! banghead

The Joys of Morgans...it is why we love them.

30c outside, sun streaming down so I turned on the A/C....fine whilst bimbling along, cool legs and feet and enough cold ir around to keep my hands cool.
Then I accelerated reasonably, for a Plus 8, gently.
A massive wave of hot air comes into the cockpit, totally overwhelming the A/C
It is honestly better not to bother and keep the fan off and everything closed....!!

Great day for a drive, although this afternoon it has clouded over and the temperature has fallen significantly.

Peter,

The beach today was lovely and not crowded. But on the way home there was an accident on the A14 just after the roundabout where the A14 spur joins. So alas we had to go the long way back via Ferry Road in the Mog.

When we got home there were some stunning butterflies attacking the buddleia

That looks nice and quietish John, Heather went to Dartmouth to the much needed (she tells me) hair appointment and there was only one parking space at 0920 near the Higher Ferry so it's situation back to normal here in terms of numbers, Blackpool Sands was heaving today before the evening mist rolled in.

That Peacock butterfly is lovely.

That would have been impressive even in my university Rag Week days.

Yes we are lucky in that it is a bit further than say Southend so we don't get too many day trippers. The holiday homes & caravan parks are full,
Whilst this was the less popular end of the beach in Felixstowe terms it was busy.
I dread to think how Torbay is . I know one TM told me he couldn't even park in Budliegh Salterton.
