The US based firm that completed this electrification had a fixed brief - no changes to the appearance both interior and exterior. They bought a new Tesla Model S to source all the controls, motor and batteries so not a cheap conversion. The Tesla control systems are retained but the touch screen is hidden in the boot - so no temptation to touch!

That is an amazing job. Whatever the rights or wrongs of converting a car like that, I am in awe of the skills that go into such a project.

I take my hat off to that team.

Thanks for posting Paul.

Well hats off to them. That seems a top job but why do it? Maybe sadly once petrol stops being available we will all be converting our cars.

Very clever installation, they managed to use the Tesla hubs all round so the extra 200bhp is fully managed with Tesla's ESC, TC, regen, etc and have frozen the online updates & then moved this to the owners personal server for remote diagnostics

And all without OE source codes...amazing, AND who would guess a modern Tesla is a full 10 inches wider than an old Rolls

That was the bit that surprised me.

All sounds very professional.

I'm still trying to get my head around why they didn't just keep the Rolls as is and use the Tesla as an electric car

A great example of how enormous modern cars have become.
