We were planning a short trip over to watch, but the return isolation rules have scuppered it frown

I really fancy a trip over there and combine a Normandy Beaches job, maybe next year.
As you probably know it was the first one last year but the coverage I saw of the event was very inviting and the French Morgan group enjoyed it, those that did attend.

I probably need to apply for our passports about now grin2

No thanks - I want a holiday not visit Bridlington rofl I had the great misfortune of having to visit there for an xray many moons ago and I thought it was a dire run down place.

+1 smile

Even my mild mannered nephew, who was holidaying with us, described it as 'a bit of a sh1thole' smile

Hmm! maybe biased by happy childhood memories of holidays there but a recent visit suggests there is still a decent harbour to view and affordable seafood outlets, decent fish and chips etc. Parking may be an issue I accept, and lament the loss of boating lake and miniature steam railway by the Spa.

The best bit of the visit to the hospital was being told by the nurse that the radiographer was at lunch and suggested we went for a drink, being a good patient me and my driver a work colleague (ex RO in the Merchant navy and hails from Buckie) did as we were told.
After a few pints and a Ploughman's we reappeared and had the xray to be told it was two broken fingers so end of work for the day, with the good news we decided to return to the pub for the afternoon and evening and called for a taxi to return us to our hotel in Driffield, The Bell, it was a decent enough place to stay at the time.
