Long shot and highly unlikely, but I don't suppose anyone in Gloucs area has got a new handbrake cable gathering dust?
Was looking forward to a CotsWold Classic Tour in the Mog tomorrow, but looks like we'll have to skip that one too, and just after the disappointment of Prescott cancellation banghead

Sorry to see you may not make the Tour Phil.
Shame about the Hill runs - but I have the first free Sunday this month!
As Ray said Terry Foxen is probably your best bet locally - in Nailsworth so not too far away from you.

Treesurveyor .... surely, even a two seater has the luggage capacity to carry a couple of bricks! smile

Good luck with the cable search and hope you make your trip

Phil

If you have not been able to find a suitable replacement nearer at hand, I can post you my spare by post. Just replace it when you can source one locally, but if you want it in a hurry then I would need to send guaranteed next day delivery which may be more costly.

PS I would need to locate it and that is something I am not very good at in my garage.

Just let me know.

Thanks Guys. Unfortunately too late Friday afternoon to contact Terry, I'll try Monday. Thanks Andy, I'll let you know how I get on. Of course, having one in the hand is only the start of the challenge! I've never changed one on anything, so steep learning curve expected! Graham, I hope you managed a nice run today at least, perfect weather for it. 👌

Which cable has broken?
The front or the rear?
The front one is an interior out job, as the tunnel, and gearbox cover have to come out

Simon, its the long one to the nearside drum; how i wish it were the offside. Yes it looks like she'll have to sit still for a week or so while I work in shifts on it.

Simon, I'm pretty sure my tunnel is riveted on, so a chance to make modifications for future ease of access once it's out the way. Do you have any recommendations for fixings and improved access openings? Are stainless screws ok on ally? It would make it easier to add some heatshield next summer also.
Thanks, Phil
