Afternoon all,

The MK1 Aero doesn't appear to have any windscreen rubbers, (Morgan certainly don't supply them) so it looks like the black glue that bonds the screen in has to be used to make a neat seal around the glass.
Owing that I have to trust the job to a windscreen fitter does anyone have any experience or tips in making sure they do a good job of this espicially around the scuttle area?

I presume masking the area and a lubed finger? laugh2

Good luck with that. My TVR had a bonded-in screen, and it was a right palaver replacing it.

No experience with windscreens but if this is the way I would use a silicone spreader, much neater finish than a lubed finger. (Oooooooh matron) in a Kenneth Williams voice.

Maybe don’t use the actual bond used for the screen but just a good black sealant like CT1.

Like I said, mask either side of the channel and wipe flush.

Good point - any experience with them?
If not I will do a general Amazon search!

Sikaflex is the number 1 choice in the marine trade I also bedded in my windscreen on my plus 4 with it after the factory failed to stop the water ingress its a great product.

yep. - I agree with Em on this, 'Sikaflex' (or even 'Tigerseal') is the way to go.

After the first pass has set, you can actually thin it slightly with e.g. methylated spirit and 'paint' on a final coat between masking tape lines. thumbs

Agree with the sikaflex comments, great product.
These are the spreaders I use, plenty choice of radiuses angles and flat blades.

I've only used the 291i and that's for use in a marine environment. I would check the website or try and speak to a supplier for better advice than I can give regards windscreen sealing.
