Just for fun - I did my private license in California in 2000, but only flew for a couple of years after that. He had a really dry sense of humour and had me in stitches, especially regards safety and in flight “moments”. Explaining how they worked he went on to sat that Death Valley” is a good place and the Andes not so good. The effect on me was to never fly in a helicopter. Imagine my delight that the very next Christmas, by coincidence, my daughter bought a helicopter flight over London for my wife and I. Petrified!
