Tripped over this set of vids while web wandering, might be of interest to those who run/maintain Rover/Triumph cars..?

There is a rumour that I might have spent some money there in the past.

Interesting set of old pics Alistair, thanks for posting. Were you going for the boat tailed look on the Dolly... ?

I suspect around that time I was being attracted by air cooled Porsche, one of which I modified the rear wing of at the bottom of Duffus Dip on the track at Knockhill.. I have a pic of that too somewhere.. Duh..!

Duffus Dip, such a well named first corner. One of my least favourites with everyone spearing across the track to try and fly off McIntyres.

I did a bit of racing (and a bit of crashing) a long time ago and mostly killed Dolomites. I started with a well prepared one. Killed it. Then it got put in a white one. Killed it. Then into a blue one. Guess?
The Blue one ended up travelling along on its roof doing a gentle spin down Bentley@Snetterton. It's just as well they welded a metal one in to replace the Webasto.
The engine cost a fortune to build and then keep rebuilding as it melted! Most of the bits came from Rimmers. Twin 40DCOE, race cam, very expensive banana exhaust manifold, pistons the lot. Quite a few head gaskets, special metal ones. Open wallet surgery but in those days I knew nothing else.

Just time to burn a little more petrol before dinner.
