We were expecting a delivery today between 3 and 4pm At 3.15pm the delivery driver appeared at the door with a parcel addressed to us. He then handed over the parcel but said that there were two more packages in the order which he had in the van but because they had not been scanned properly he had to take them back to the depot and would return tomorrow to deliver them.
Don`t you just love it when technology overrides common sense. I suppose he was only following procedure and it`s not as if we are going anywhere tomorrow - oh hang on - yes we are!! banghead

In the 14 years of my last job I think we did at least 20 implementations. Hell on earth.

When I worked for Gent (Fire Alarms) we implemented SAP. We didn’t invoice in our service division for 2 weeks when it went live. You can imagine the pressure applied.

I left Gent and went to Siemens Communications where SAP was already live - the story went that their invoicing gap was in excess of 3 months. There were folks still twitching.
