My "ferocious beast" and I are sad about your bengal. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2019/12/02/IMG_E9293.jpg) By ferocious beast I mean our cat, not my wife! LOL! We can't think about the day she'll not be with us… we love her so much! Pets are really special...

We know your loss only to well, it's very hard, we lost two cats on the same day, brother from injuries four days earlier and his sister gave up and withered away with him missing so we took the hard decision to put her down then the vet informed us about the passing of her brother. Both had a very good innings though.

I can't believe how many topics have been posted since I posted this. It was on page 41. Anyway today I am very unhappy again. As this topic said Kip died end of last year. February this year we got two new kittens Cheeky and Chewie who were brothers and get on really well, the smallest would love to climb on my shoulder and sit there purring while I worked and became a little daddies boy which made me very happy. The last couple of weeks he just was not as happy as before and not eating. We took him to the vet who thought he had a blocked intestine and did an ultrasound and X-ray that didn't show much but they could feel a lump so they operated but once they opened him up couldn't do anything then said take him to a specialist. The specialist vet did some blood tests and found he is going through chronic liver failure. They are waiting for one more test but 99% sure it's FIP a nasty and fatal feline coronavirus. They said they will phone tomorrow after they have the test results but based on how sick he is they will have to put him down regardless. Seems so sad and unfair to such a young and friendly animal. They said he would have caught it from some cats at the breeder when he was only a few weeks old so nothing we could have done. They said normally cats that get it keep in in their intestines for ages, some get rid of it but for others suddenly it migrates into the blood stream, they get sick and die pretty quickly. Kip died the week after his 13th birthday and Chewie turn 1 on Friday so basically also just after his birthday. We just got back from giving him cuddles at the specialist and we were in the same room as we were when Kip was put down which is sad to be reminded of. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2020/10/28/Cats-helping-work.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2020/10/28/Cheeky-and-Chewie.jpg) Chewie is more silver and his head is lower in the bottom photo. Cheeky is also acting very lonely tonight.

Very sorry to hear this Chris. They're buggers for leaving pawprints on our hearts, aren't they?

Chris, so sorry, I feel for you. Cats are part of the family and when we have had to say "good bye" the gap before we find another is horrid. These are our siamese cats ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/10/28/Cats.jpg) The apricot one is Aslan, and is very much my cat, follows me about and talks all the time. The sealpoint is Theo, absolutely Caroline's They are not brothers, but were brought up in the same litter from a few days after birth so I think they believe they are. Both have helped keep the vet comfortable. I'm part of another forum where we talk about making models of aircraft, there is a specific thread about cats... it seems that many modellers are also cat people...
