But yes, a good assessment when it comes to some of his bike building antics!

ps - I always enjoy the show, even though I'm not a biker.

Thanks very much for the tipoff. I recorded it for the M3W but the road trip was an unexpected bonus! We were also in the Gran Canaria mountains in February (we just managed to home before the first lockdown), watching this was like completing our holiday!

Took me back to a holiday we had in Gran Canaria, unfortunately my transport in the mountains was a Fiat Panda, but we had a great time.

I enjoyed his relaxed off beat presentation imho a lot more viewable than the other two programs featuring 3 presenters all trying too hard to be funny, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the chop.

I thought it was great that the spanners man still had his first bike too, an old Ariel.

A quick sighting of an SE5a there too when they went to collect the bike.

That KTM looked a bit of a beast.

I managed to have a chat to Sam when the pair of them were at Prescott a year or so back (with a rebuilt Midget/Sprite). Interesting gent without the ego of the other fella! smile

I'm not sure I'd say "relaxed" Rich, I found his dancing about a bit distracting, I wasn't sure if he was hyperactive or had a bladder problem. "Informal" perhaps?

I missed the SE5a - I'll have to go back and look for it.

I was also lucky enough to meet him at the Bike Show.
He was chatting with our ex race mechanic.
They were in a serious discussion about 500cc 2 stroke race engines!
As Graham says, Sam came over as a lovely bloke.
Very unlike many of the over blown ‘celebrities’ we had to deal with.
The list of those would be far too long.
