Using aircraft radial engine cylinders with their almost artistic cooling fin combinations adds to the aesthetics of this masterpiece of engineering. See here its first run. Interesting that it seems to have less shake than the S & S engine in the M3W despite 2.5 times the capacity!

One thing that baffles me with that engine although guessing there must be a simple explanation. Why are the valve pushrod tubes bent and how do they work confused2

The video explains - think wide tube, narrow pushrod.
