Really I need Dr Morgan's advice but he seems to have vanished from the site.

Anyway yesterday I cracked and arranged all the spices in the kitchen alphabetically on the spice racks. This really is not like me I am normally pretty relaxed about increased entropy. Today I am going to collect all the spare car light bulbs in my garage & box them together. After that there are all the nuts, bolts , screws & washers.

I thought this was just me so I posted something on the Great Escape Gang Whatsapp group. I found to my horror that others were doing similar stuff with books or LPs.

Is there any hope for us? banghead

I bought a Brennan B2 CD storage device over Christmas and am now most of the way through ripping them onto the hard disc. For some reason though, I am organising the 800 or so CD's into alphabetical order when I am putting them back on the shelf. It did occur to me last night that the whole point of buying the Brennan was that I wouldn't ever need to access the CD's again, so what order they are in is irrelevant. The whole process has been very therapeutic though.

Most of my cd's are arranged in alphabetical order but I seem to have an awful lot under 'T':

The Who
The Kinks
The Hollies

I'm doing the same with the greenhouse. Seed trays prepped and ready, heated propagator sterilised, growing-on pots racked up in trays, seeds sorted & categorised, sowing and planting schedules documented.

One positive I have found the Volvo anti squeak tape I thought lost. It is now safe in the drawer for assorted tape rolls.

Assuming it is a passing phase... I recently went through all my NT guide books, in alphabetical order, and marked the latest guide book with their presence, so I know in future not to duplicate any!

Good move. Unfortunately when I have done same I then forget where things have migrated to. Suppose I should start a spreadsheet detailing where I put things! grin2
