I just got two quotes for installing a tow bar and 13pin electrics on my Beamer. Dealer quoted over £3k and the UK's biggest tow-bar supplier Towbar Express quoted £674.19. No prizes for guessing who gets the work even though BMW will probably use it as a reason to void the window wiper warranty if I need it.

Sounds about right. I nearly bought a new BMW 325i in the mid 80s in Bavaria but when the sales guy wanted I think £1000 to paint the chrome black & take off the numbers on the back I declined.
