A stereo in my Morgan would be a total waste of money as you could never hear it over the 6000rpm roar my car is usually making.

I think, the MX5 ND 2.0 NA is a bit weak at 182 HP in the Plus Four as the car is basically heavier than a Trad. But if...something serious should go wrong with the Sigma engine (which is an excellent animal) I thought more than ones if I could let implant the ND 2.0 MX5 engine into my 4/4 (secretly) That would be fun and not being overdone.

It is a lovely gearbox as well, it makes a difference.

Just time to burn a little more petrol before dinner.

A nice distinction and totally different cars. That's not to say the modern one is bad, far from it, it's just that like much else in the world the Abarth is just a badge on a Fiat with some ecu tweeking.

Despite not getting on with mine, I have to say YES,YES & YES!!! although my tastes have got even more basic as the SS is just an engine, gearbox and drive train with a body bolted onto the chassis. The Memsahib constantly asks when we can have a "proper car" with windows and a boot and a heater etc.

Exactly. I didnt include any sound system because with a decent exhaust you get all the music you need from the V8. I put in the aircon because in really hot weather ie 30C anyone fair skinned like me needs to have the hood up in which case aircon is needed. The heated steering wheel is because I like top down in winter and I want warm hands - gloves dont do it.

As little add ons as possible. Keep it basic. Only add ons that give speed, handling, safety. Open top.
Here comes the difficult bit.....emissions! Only have what makes the car conform.
Controversial.....electric. Power but no sound to make things nice. I’d prefer a car with nice sound but that would limit the lifespan/legislative restrictions.
Hydrogen. Might keep the sound and be eco friendly. My preference over electric as it compares to a petrol ICE car could make more sense than electric if production and distribution are sorted.
Come on oil companies....develop Hydrogen to replace your limited lifespan oil production! Do the switch. You have large scale production and distribution experience.
