I was wondering if anyone has used the Roverguage and Protune software to fine tune the 14CUX ECU? I have the LED readout for the fault codes on my 1994 +8 14CUX but have never attempted to obtain a more detailed readout or make any adjustments. Thanks.

I think the "official" Rover software was called "Rovercom" , most Morgan dealers over here had a copy as did many Land Rover dealers of course.
From memory it was quite expensive, but I am not sure of it's functionality.
I think that David Poole was the expert on your side of the pond, but i haven't heard from him in a long while.

<pedant> Rovacom </pedant> There's an aftermarket alternative called Nanocom, available from https://blackbox-solutions.com/shop, but I'm not certain whether it covers 14CUX. Very affordable compared to Rovacom.

Interesting Tim
Consider myself "pendanted"
Looking at the Black Box website on Nanocom it appears to work via an OBDII port , I know the GEMS cars are compatible with this , but I may be wrong (I frequently am these days) but I think the 14CUX and previous systems were not OBDII.

I have used the Roverguage software to extract a ROM image. Then I have modified the contents and blown a new ROM. I was only changing some of the diagnostic code as I wanted to enable the MIL light (also need to amend wiring). I have steered clear of amending fueling as I spent a few years getting an Omex fuel map correct and have the badge, and scars. I do have an early version of a Blackbox MSV which will talk to the 14CUX, the immobiliser, and also the GEMs, only downside was the price. Best place for info is Piston Heads - Gassing Station - TVR group.

Gentlemen: Thank you, someone offered me the connecting cable and instructions for the Roverguage software so I was wondering whether it was worth going there.
Teknome: thank you for the link that is very useful.
