Quite normal!
Here in some parts of rural Wales wellingtons are de-rigeur when out hunting sheep.
Best to get flared wellies...... easier to get their legs in....... so I was told by a Welsh police officer

Who knows .... maybe the autonomous car will be the saviour of the rural pub, post drink-drive laws ..... would be ironic one our most cutting edge businesses saving one of our oldest.

Is it a commentary on the likely membership that they say " come along to our shop and see our collection of ties". Do you ever wear one?
We british l;ove our informal uniforms. As a countryman, you dress up in lovatt grenn or tweed with cords or molesking keks, viyella type short and tie - flat cap of course. Yotties tend to navy blue but I have seen them wearing oil skins and Breton caps even at the London Boat show in mid winter. I had a shootine enthusiast who worked for me and turned up to work with the shoulder pad on his jacket ready for the butt of his gun - he gave mne my last springer spaniel. And then of course there are the Moprgan drivers in their sheepsking flying jacket and WW1 leahtre helmet, roof down in freezing rain. Do go to a pub in semi nornal times , if yes you may not have one to go to as they will mostly be out of business due to lockdown , thats what its about !
