Enjoy the smell and feel while it lasts HB! We had a similar run home from the dealer back in 2016 in torrential rain. Not quite as muddy at the end though. Be careful around the rear panel where the hood seal sits. Grime gets sucked under the edge of the seal, and over time may rub the paint.

Thanks Dave This hood, whilst still an Easy up version is a damn sight harder to click closed at the back compared to Trad version, and I have found I have to move seats forward to raise/lower the hood. Guess it will ease over time so not concerned. Certainly comparing this car to the Plus4, I noticed the “back draught “ was far worse and pulled a lot more muck and grime to the back panel. By the time I got home I literally hold see nothing through the back window trying to reverse into the garage! Cheers to everyone for their kind words HB

Cheers John Will do a fuller report once I’ve done a bit more driving ie once lockdown eased. Wanted to go out today but I had to remind myself I hadn’t got anything essential to justify it, so, if broke down etc, I would be putting others at risk. As a grumpy gut I want to reserve my place in smugzone/moral high ground that allows me to moan about everyone else ....😇 #sigh... Hope all is fine for you and yours over at the end of the A14? With apologies for thread drift, would you recommend watching The Dig (I guess you have a certain insight....) ? Cheers HB

Drive the Plus 8 on a muddy, wet road and the rear screen is soon opaque.
Welcome to the consequences of a flat bottomed car, the aerodynamics of the Aero and CX chassis seem to be similar: air goes under the car and curls up, round the back and enters the car from behind. You may find whth the hood down on a wet road there is more muck on the inside of the screen than the outside, if it follows the Aero Plus 8 characteristics!

The love affair is made up the rest is pretty close to reality. I enjoyed it & even it not filmed at Sutton Hoo the mounds looked right. The house not but you can't have everything.
