Hope I'm wrong but as I read the lockdown easing road map, Donington on the 1st and 2nd of May will miss out as large sporting events will not resume until 17th May. How do others read it?

Bob, looks like you are right unfortunately
Step 3 not before 17th May Most mixing rules lifted outdoors, with a limit of 30 people meeting in parks or gardens. Indoor mixing will be allowed, up to six people or, if it is more people, two households. Indoor venues such as the inside of pubs and restaurants, hotels and B&Bs, play centres, cinemasand group exercise classes will reopen. The new indoor and outdoor mixing limits will remain forpubs and other hospitality venues. This will be the earliest date at which international holidays could resume, subject to a review โsee the list of reviews below. For sport, indoor venues can have up to 1,000 spectators or half capacity, whichever is lower;outdoors the limit will be 4,000 people or half capacity, whichever is lower. Very large outdoorseated venues, such as big football stadiums, where crowds can be spread out, will have a limit of10,000 people, or a quarter full, whichever is fewer. Weddings will be allowed a limit of 30 people, with other events such as christenings andbarmitzvahs also permitted.

As club liaison for the DHF I will get notification as to what is happening and will post on TM when I hear - but it does not look hopeful - neither does the Resto Show at the NEC in June. Will keep you posted on both of these either way.

Thanks Phil Sadly it was my first thought (Donington) whilst watching the PM last night and the dates he revealed, as I was hoping to take my nephew. It then went to F1 at Silverstone due in July. I think I have totally the wrong priorities in life I suspect... ๐ HB

Well, the MSA (or whatever they are called nowadays) has announced that UK Motorsport can commence for 29th March and are issuing permits accordingly
So are the early events in the calendar to be held without spectators ?

I dropped their headline in the 'Racing' section .... early meetings will be without spectators and with Motorsports UK guidlines in place .... the Scottish Govt have gone a different route so it looks like we will have to wait before we get more clarity as to when we can restart here
I'll try to post more of the Motorsports UK press release than just the headline if I can pull it out of the email they sent me
