It also holds happy memories for me too. I met my wife there and had the most disposable income of any time in my life. An enduring memory is heading to the Edward Hotel for sundowners on a Friday evening and looking out onto the Indian Ocean, maybe a curry at the British Middle Eastern Sporting and Dining Club. Posh times for a young tearabout. Hi Kevin, We lived out there from 1973 to early 1976 in Noordoewer and then Touwsriver with some great times spent in Joburg and Capetown. As you say we lived like lords in those days, fabulous scenery and friendly people. The Indian market in Durban was unforgettable for Heather, she loved all the craftwork and vibrant atmosphere.
