Well information or where to obtain the information.
Does the Ford Sigma engine (2011 4/4) have an oil pressure regulator?
My car gets run most days & has a hot oil pressure indication of just under a bar at idle & 3 bar when cruising at 3000 rpm. Today well up to 51/2 bar at 3000 rpm and varying between 4 & 51/2. Still 1 bar at idle. Funny it did this once before on a trip about 4 years ago & not since.
No engine warning lights but was a bit loath to try max revs.
What could it be? Granted could just be the gauge but as their seems little info on the sigma just wondered if anyone has any definitive info.
Thanks in advance.

There is a thread on here somewhere that references similar symptoms and a faulty sender. Worth a phone call to a dealer who will be able to supply a sender and confirm.

Phil Royle should be along in a moment as, IIRC, it was his 4/4 that had the problem.

I have found one thread on this, but not the one I was looking for.

Try this:

Thanks Paul. Seems the sender will be my 1st check item. Don’t like the sound of the adapter made from “monkey metal”
