He used to write for Evo. I wrote in to complain about his Aston DBS review as it was full of misinformation/prejudice from which a summary was drawn, shame to see he's still doing it.

Much easier 'reviewing' something based on spurious 'facts' rather than have your own well-expressed opinion.

I'm certain inaccuracies in magazine/web articles like the +8 review in Top Gear are deliberate and serve only to wind up the knowledgable enthusiast, the scribe hoping to solicit a complaint and draw further attention to poor penmanship. Best ignored.

Hang on folks -okay, lazy in some respects, but in general wouldn't you say it was fairly positive for TG? I wonder what Chris Harris will write?

As some will have noticed, a new +8 appeared at Prescott for the Easter Saturday competition meeting, kindly brought along by Richard (RedMorgan). After racing was complete (finished early) the opportunity was taken to get some photos of the +8 and Greg D-S's 3W.
Richard then kindly took me for a run "around the block" - probably some 8+ miles, via Greet, passing Alderton, Teddington Hands, and back via Gotherington, 30% narrow country lanes remainder good A & B roads.

Impressed, I certainly am! Car sits very nicely, whatever the road surface, easily coping with the rougher country lanes we travelled. On smoother roads, like any Morgan, the car was an absolute delight. Performance, bearing in mind driving licenses and that we didn't want to wake too many locals (those 4 rear exhausts do sound "The Business" grin2 ) is in the words of Rolls Royce "adequate" - who am I kidding? Phenomenal is a much better choice. The seats, while bucketed, are not too narrow for my girth and I felt I could have sat there and navigated Richard on a round Britian tour - not sure he'd have liked the fuel bill though smile .

Want one? - If I remortgage the house, sell swmbo for some camels (I'll probably get more for the camels laugh2 ) and liquidate some other assets I'll join the already some 80+ orders already taken (Greg D-S estimate). Actually, I'd be better selling the house and buying a large garage with a flat above - there is No Way this car will fit down the present driveway...
Come on Premium Bonds, about time I got some real investment return rofl

Thanks for the experience Richard...

Lovely Graham......perhaps I should have hung around instead of sloping off to walk the dog! It is an impressive car......I know that I was quite negative when I first saw it at the factory last year but it really has grown on me. I still think it looks better hood up....it balances out the width in my view.

Now....you can fit the seats......the next test.....the Three Wheeler!

I can fit the 3W seats, no problem. But can't fit the space between the tunnel and cockpit sides so that I can access the pedals!

I still think the new +8 needs a nice big pair of Cibies at the front though, to fill the extra gap between grille and headlamps... smile
