Getting radio piped through would be relatively easy Robbie once Bluetooth link established from your smart phone. Some have built in FM tuners with headphone lead as aerial. Then you have Internet radio apps although reception via mobile data may be an issue. Finally you have stand alone Bluetooth capable radio modules.

I'm all for adopting latest protocols with in-car entertainment but MMC seem to have latched onto this path whilst stripping the charged for option on Plus Four to a bare minimum, more basic than that offered on Classics.

I guess it's curious that older cars could have a normal radio installed, whereas on the CX cars you only get the amplifier and speakers. At least on the Plus Six there is a physical input jack in addition to the Bluetooth input!

To be charged for this option on the Plus Four is the final insult. Ironic when the four speaker CX installation appears to be superior to Classics, which is not difficult of course innocent

I haven't found any balance control, however all 4 speakers are working, the front 2 in the doors don't appear to put out much, but the back are quite powerful. No jack is fitted to the later plus 6, just bluetooth.

Today,I reached out to Marcus Blake the sales manager at the factory—- and ——- surprise , I got an immediate response saying he would check with the tech guys and get back to me.

Credit where credit is due, a most welcome change - I look forward to his further comments

Thanks, Marcus!!

It would be great if you could some how change the back speakers to the front.
I await with great anticipation 😎

News from Marcus Blake at the factory --- Sadly there is apparrently no way to alter the fade between front and rere - it is hardwired directly to the amp. However it may be that the wiring to the front has detatched itself as Marcus says it has happened to a previous car and he suggests having the dealer check, which I will.

Not a customer friendly installation, I'm afraid - I ll have to research another solution!

Sorry but this sounds like an MMC botch job. If the speakers front and rear were the same impedance and wired in parallel as seems to be the case, it would be reasonable to assume they would have matching sound output. As this appears not to be the case and because of differing locations it would seem their impedances don't match so the lower one gets most of the amplifier power for each side doh
