Like others I'm sure, I got a letter from Charles today with the enclosed leaflet announcing the new Plus 8, driven by a very cool looking Matt, and advising that there will be a small production run before the Geneva car show launch next year.

It is all pretty much as we have reported previously, the price is £71,000.00 plus VAT (ex-factory) and the wheels shown are the wheels from the Series IV Aero 8.

Air-conditioning is standard and an automatic gearbox is also available. Otherwise the spec seems normal trad with 8-standard colours and a choice of wood finishes.

All you have to do to beat the rush and get a pre-launch car is send your deposit of £20,000.00 to MMC...

Matt always seems to look cool shades (being the nearest I can find to  ).

Is this another of RedMorgan's shots? Richard?

Cheers,

They were looking a fitting a catch on the windscreen to secure the sidescreens at speed. I'm sure you'll see it during your visit Steven.

As for the mirrors, maybe they need testing at speed, in which case I volunteer! woohoo

At 140mph all you'll need the mirrors for is to check for blue flashing lights.

Well done MMC. A good effort. Overriders would look nice, but a minor point. Not for me though unless I rob a bank.

The on the road price without extras would seem to make the last of the S4 aeros a bargain.

Will be interesting to see how it compares to the Aero, any ideas on the roof mechanism?
