Hi I have a Morgan 2002 +8. Could someone help me find the fuse box. Everything I have found says it is on the passenger side against the firewall. I cannot find t there. Unless I am blind(ha ha).

I would appreciate any help. Thank You

In 2004 there are two. One is on the bulkhead, offside under the bonnet. The other is centrally mounted under the dash.

A lot can change in two years though!

My 1999 car has the fuse box in a central location under the dashboard , it is over the transmission tunnel . You have to access it by lying upside down in either footwell.

I look in envy at more modern Morgans where all the fuses/electronic modules are located in one or two boxes on top of the bulkhead , easily accessible.

And it would have been so easy to design the loom to accommodate such doh

I know what you mean Andy, I’d only had my Plus 8 a short while when driving home from the Goodwood Revival I switched the headlights on and everything went black. Trying to find the right fuse, upside down, in the dark was not a lot of fun. They’re also pretty difficult to get out with your fingers. Turned out that the previous owner had used the wrong amp. fuse.

Yup, mine is in the same place, but at least you don't have to stand in the rain with the bonnet up like the morderns do grin2

Ours just demonstrate the availability of chimney boys still being around at the design period...

Andy, that seems par for the course in terms of Morgan electrics, though my mid 80`s fuse box like many older Morgans is mounted on the bulkhead in the engine bay easy access even if some of the wiring is suspect. When trying to help Lorne with a few EFI issues on his +8, I think he discovered either a fuse or a large "pudding" joint hidden within the loom. I also remember a fuse being hidden in the loom of my old Mini many years ago, so Morgan were/are not alone in creating wiring mysteries and challenges...

Richard, assuming it is raining, it would be interesting to witness you trying to contort yourself to replace a fuse in your Morgan without getting wet... laugh2

Yes the old lumbago position for older cars with often the fuse box reversed vs the diagram.

Andy, it may be easier to access but we have to contend with the labels being reversed / incorrect for the sub-boards within frown

Must admit I was not aware of that particular minefield , but obviously you guys have all met it at some time or another.

I do carry a laminated card with the fuse numbering in the door pocket , and a fuse extraction tool in my electrical toolkit, which does make life a little easier on the brain , if not on the back.

My fuse box is under dash over the transmission tunnel. Now, does anyone have guide to show what fuse goes to each function?
Right now I’m looking for the rear fog light .

On my 2003 4/4, I think that there is only one. It’s under the bonnet, offside, on the bulkhead, near the battery tray.

Now that’s a thought Keith.
I must put my head torch on and crawl into the car, to see if there are any additional fuses under the dash.
