Great game of soccer this evening (our time). Congratulations to the Australian Women's team and well played England

England lost so the "well played " isnt deserved.

But roll on the end of the Olympics! Wall to wall coverage on TV here, most of it jingoistic about the few wins so far. Like watching paint dry.

This will be a big ask in the soccer but they are a medal chance.
Our swimmers, particularly the ladies, have done us proud.

Stay safe Richard.

I’ve enjoyed watching the non mainstream events. A good thing as they don’t attract the hour after hour pundit rubbish surrounding many of the others.

I haven't watched any as it's not my thing but for a nation of couch potatoes the boys and girls have done extraordinarily well for a tiny Island and Congratulations are in order cheers clap clap

Not strictly true I watched the amazing Sky Brown skate boarding and achieving Bronze at 13years old. The surfing I found a fantastic spectacle displaying similar talents.

As a Country GB punches well above its weight in the Olympics. The team did us proud!

I do not watch the games but I have been impressed by the constant stream of X won gold/silver/bronze etc on the news pages. I took a look at the scoreboard the other day and the result is quite remarkable for a smaller country. Perhaps holding the 2012 Olympics gave it a real boost as people could see it and it inspired them. Brilliant.

Just time to burn a little more petrol before dinner.
