The Supermax sprocket gave up his duty. So need to get a new one. I believe that M3W Services have brand new Supermax sprockets in stock if you need to get hold of one quickly. M3W Services is already on his way to Grindelwald to bring me a new sprocket. This is what they call SERVICE !

What is the advantage of the Superman over the steel sprocket?

I am curious about the weight differential, does anybody actually notice the difference in weight and any change in driving performance?

I am curious about the weight differential, does anybody actually notice the difference in weight and any change in driving performance? Reducing unsprung weight and rotational inertia are both good things, which physics tells us should respectively improve suspension reaction and acceleration. Whether anyone notices is hard to say. Depends entirely on the sensitivity of the observer. When I changed out my steel sprocket for a Supermax unit, I found the rear suspension to be less harsh over sharp impacts, but couldn't feel the difference in acceleration, perhaps because the sprocket weight is relatively close to the wheel center.

I wrote to Supermax about my problem and send some pictures. This is the answer I got this morning: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, I see we did this about 5 years ago. But no worries. I am guessing the belt was put on tight, which is one thing we never want done. This is the very first overlay we have lost on a Morgan. I am willing to bet the person who installed it for you, didn't follow your instructions about a very loose belt. Send it to us, and we will put another one on for you, at no extra charge, even though, it is out of warranty. Only pay shipping back to you, and $150.00 to cover the cost of my machinist. It takes him about 3 days for him to install it. Put the overlay in the box, so we can have a good look at it. Let me know what you want to do, and if you want to have us repair it.
