Moin, moin! (== hi there)

I'm about to reactivate my +8. The car has been built in 1997 and has about 10.000mls on it.

So I'm really pleased to reactivate a really nice car... ;-)

MfL der Eratosthenes

P.S.: Find a photo of the car here.

Welcome, that is a fabulous looking car with the same colour combination as my first 1994 Plus 8, enjoy your miles.
I see you have the taller windscreen fitted.

Thanks! - Surely I will - as soon as it's "back on the road"...

P.S.: @+8Rich
Yes I have. Including the mounted wind deflectors it makes the ride so much more comfortable... laugh

Hi John V6,

it's not that bad. The photo seen above has been taken when I received the car in 2014 or 2015.

In 2015 and 2016 I have used the car "a bit", but as I prefere motobikes I haven't really driven it a lot...
Since 2017 or 2018 I haven't used it at all.

What I have noticed is that there is a sound as if a bird is under the hood, when the motor is running for a while... laugh

I think I should check the fan (vent?) and the V-belt. Maybe I should have a look at the water pump. As far as I know this is a weak point of the rover engine.

As I have mentioned, the car isn't really used a lot. It has about 10.000mls on it and the service including tires, the brakes and so on has been done only some years (and about 300mls - 500mls) ago.

Moin, Moin!
Sound like northern Germany and the picture fits too.

Besides the V-belt you should consider to get new tires. Even at low milage they loose grip when several years old.
Have fun with your beautiful car!

Welcome to TM from Mainz!

Yes, it‘s a problem with too much wheels around in the garage… About the tires: it‘s real a point to have a look at it.
I visit a workshop day at Brands Hatch Morgans an it was a point of interest.

A light car with a lot of torque you need really good rubber.
