Just spotted this which might be worth bearing in mind and choosing a soft mount instead for the unit.

... but although such vibration can affect a phone camera, I'm sure it's absolutely fine on delicate human organs such as eyes, ears etc wink

Obviously many of us have suffered damage to our ears from over exposure but the iphone is not readily available on the NHS as far as I'm aware innocent

The Librands Sports exhaust on the V8 is not exactly quiet but zero vibration unlike the trikes.

The biggest problem i have had with my iPhone in the M3W is overheating in the sun in the passenger seat in Texas. The combination of the extra heat generated in GPS mode with the black screen don't do well. smile

I was using my old iPhone 5s for navigation in the Honda. I left it in the car during the very hot weather we had a while ago. This resulted in the case warping so much that there is now a gap between the screen and case. And the display doesn't look too good either!

That is what I use snd th sun hs zero negative effect, except making the screen a bit more difficult to read because the sun is so bright.
