Melvyn Rutter has a 2009 Roadster just in. Forgive my lack of knowledge, but what do these three gidgets do ? (They don't seem to be connected to anything).

Probably held on a heat shield when used in the Mondeo or Transit

Such screws are also at the 2018 Plus4.

At some of screws there are plasticbinders for cableguides.

and the 3.7 Roadster's.

Given that lifting the bonnet of a modern car reveals little more than acres of plastic coverings, it's not surprising to see so many protruding fittings for same when engines need to be fitted stripped in our Morgans.

Interesting, thanks.
The rearmost one on the 3.7 looks like it has been replaced (?) with a conventional hex-head bolt. The front two are like mine (pic), but I must say that getting rid of those unnecessary pokey-up bits would make sense.

MMC buy in generic Ford engines from an official UK distributor (Power Torque Eng Ltd) who source from various engine plants around the world, so your engine could be from a plant building anything from a humble Fiesta to an ugly F150 American pickup, or even an auto box SUV (would you like rev hang with that sir ?) hence some unused fixing points for ancillaries

That is very interesting, I always thought that Morgan would have some arrangement for engine supply direct from a Ford plant in the UK.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

Hmmm, so before I remove those ugly pokey-up thingys, I need to carefully consider where I'm going to get the appropriate U.S. thread bolts to replace them. I can feel a call to Power Torque Eng Ltd coming on.
