Morning All,
oil change this weekend and while i'm in there i want to change to braided hoses on the tank as well as a quick drain valve.
Got the link for Merlin motor sport, but their range is huge.
any ideas on lengths and ID s ? please.

regards
Chris

The Alternative Parts List isn't the easiest to read I must admit but there is a lot of info in there..... somewhere. I even put the same information on the oil hoses in twice for you by accident 😁. Make sure you use plenty of P clips as the braided hoses will rub through anything they touch. You can get plastic end finish trims as well to tidy the hoses up.

When I did mine I slide the hose through a clear vinyl hose in the areas that might rub so as to give an extra layer of protection

love the car but its so frustrating when you really get into the nuts and bolts, how little MMC actually ensured the car was fit to put into production and sell.
lets hope the new one fares better.

JMD,
if i was paying that much for a Six and had design problems i would be seriously in their faces.

So the oil change is underway and as well as the braided hose fit i also ordered a Fumoto quick Change valve which duly arrived.
Now considering most of the oil is drained via the tank why would i need to fit a valve to a dry sump ?
What i'm getting at is -----there are no threaded outlets or inlets on the oil tank so how is it fitted, as the valve they sent has an M12 fitment ? and i assumed i would be fitting this valve to the bottom of the oil tank ?
