Top speed is dependant on gearing as well as power, although the 3.7 has a longer back axle ratio than out going Roadster until we know what the box ratios are it doesn't tell us much. Speeds quoted by MMC are fairly approximate, quoted figures often just to give a nice step up from one model to the next, ie 116mph 4/4, 120mph +4, 140mph for the Roadster. Whether you ever get a chance to put it to the test is another matter.............
209kw/280bhp/352Nm and weighing in at under a tonne...my mathematics ends up with a higher top speed than the stated 225kph/140mph (download brochure on Morgan site)...or maybe 225kph is more than enough with the top down
