Being new to morgan ownership when leaving the car parked up other than an alarm or tracker is there anything else i can do to protect it from theft Neither alarm nor tracker will prevent theft. Best thing you can do apart from an immobiliser is a second carefully hidden switch to prevent the engine starting. That said I cant see Morgans as being a great theft target - too individual, too easy to spot. Tea leaves prefer upscale Audi and BMW which have a ready market as bit of in the third world. Morgan is more liklely to attract joy riders

The beauty of the GDI immobiliser is that even with the key, the unwashed won't know how to start it.

My 2002 Plus8 has an immobiliser. It has the Gems management system. I have only locked the car a few times over several years. At home it’s in a garage. When away I think carefully about parking. Hotels should have decent on-site. Public carparks...try to park in the quieter areas. I also use the storm covers sometimes as they stop nosey buggers gawking.

struggle with what?paying cash for a morgan What Dave and Jon are referring to is a known PIA associated with the imobiliser key sensing relative to the key "collar" in the ignition lock, there is mountains of information on it here somewhere.
