John, ask the local council for details. Planning dept, local councillor are the initial options.
Reasons for running tests are usually based on geology, past use of land.
There is a large (circa £90M for health based and wellness ) project in our town and needed many tests due mainly to being on old heavy industrial use land. No anomalies found. There was one serial objector who seemed to be looking for any and every reason to object, including repeats of the same reasons.

I understand that these pipes were put in strategic places along the route of HS2.

I have heard of a new HS3 route being considered to run from London to Cromer,
in a bid to supply Londoners with fresher crab as they predict that the A12 and M11 will be congested with EV's that have run out of charge. scared

Why is there only one monopolies commission??

Damn i moved from Bucks to Suffolk to avoid hs2. Not doubt hs3 will be unable to handle the Nawfork hills as the engines will be built by a tory ministers mate in his pub

They will need to put in a bigger draw bridge to get into Nawfork. Like most in comers I don't want any more people here and certainly don't want high speed trains nor motorways. NIBY me? yes !!
