As you have tried tackling the problem at source, i.e. new springs I would go with the progressive bump stops. Rog of this parish makes them. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/27/P1050465.jpg)
You could also make your own custom tool tray with both greater clearance where needed and capacity.

The tool tray is not symetric and some place are deeper. Check it vs the diff and if necessary turn it 180°, you can earn some centimeters.

The fact that both my Morgans have Rog's assists says it all really. Most cars use some sort of upward movement limiter.
Get the gap right and the bangs vanish.

Great add on, no more crashing from the rear end - should be fitted as standard I’m sure I recall that my MG Midget and Mk2 Escort had such. Seems wrong that Morgan are relying on the bodywork to act as a bump stop.
