Love the power windows. They need the plus four manual to test

Love the power windows. They need the plus four manual to test Great review of a really great car. I've had a decent drive in a P6 and they are very comfortable and ludicrously fast. My P4 auto has Comfort seats which I thought were really comfortable until I tried the P6 with Comfort Plus which are even better. If I were to start again with a new P4 I would pay the extra. I would also probably go for the Sports exhaust because it is really quiet in Drive whereas the standard one drones. Then in Sport/Sport+ it pops and crackles like crazy. Whilst the guys think they want the manual for a P4 I think they would find the auto altogether better.

+1 for the P4 Auto... All you need in a CX Morgan, nothing you don't need.

At a time when involvement in driving pleasure is being rapidly eroded, for me an auto isn't an option.
In fact the CX package hasn't so far ignited my desire.
I'll stay in my luddite bubble. 🤓🖖

I suspect many would agree that driving pleasures as we have experienced them over time have evolved considerably, as no doubt have we ourselves as we aged, ever setting new priorities and expectations in so many areas of life..?
I suspect the MMC have done rather well in bringing the "Trad" up to date in the form of the CX, and yet retaining the overall appearance of the marque as known to many who may never own a Morgan. The CX may well suit better Morganeers who have stuck with the brand over many years and are perhaps more able to retain their motoring enthusiasm in a Morgan that has been modernised to more suit their portly frame, or stiffening limbs, wider doors more comfy seating and with an auto box, fancy levels of trim and a degree of bling, and even air conditioning, what`s more to want..? All of which seems to be no more than a natural and logical evolutionary process...? For the younger enthusiast, they too can look to a Morgan as some sort of old style hairy chested sports car in that it does not have the same degree of nanny protections built in to protect the over enthusiastic driver from his own actions, thus it would seem there are demands enough on the driver to make it feel that he is very much in control of a sports car... ?
Me..? Given at this time I have no need of my Morgan to provide "basic" transportation, and that in order to find an enjoyable bit of Tarmac, I do not have to negotiate high volumes of traffic, and that while I am limited to some degree by advancing years, I feel most fortunate indeed to be able to enjoy a degree of vintage motoring experience that I went in search of twenty or so years ago, and found it in my Trad Morgan. That I can still enjoy those vintage aspects today, well not today actually, as it is snowing outside..! Not that I have allowed the snow to hinder my enjoyment of my Morgan in times past.. (-:
Yeah, for sure the Vintage boys would perhaps laugh at the idea of a 1986 +8 Morgan being considered as offering a real vintage driving experience, given it`s radial tyres, disc brakes syncro gearbox, LSD, rack & pinion steering, alternator powered electrics, H4 headlights and more Hmm..? There was more than enough vintage aspects for me in terms of the craft skills in my +8`s design, construction and build qualities relating to the coachwork practices of old, evidenced in it`s hand crafted alloy panels formed around a hand built wooden frame, attached to a simple ladder chassis with a truly vintage front suspension system that requires regular greasing, just as would any truly vintage machine, and with it`s 3.5 litre carb fed engine, it is no slouch, demanding a degree of respect from it`s pilot, who must learn that there is a knack to reading the road surface ahead when making progress, in that not all, or or indeed any of the wheels might stay in contact with the road surface on occasion when steering a course through the twisties...All of which is where the challenge and real enjoyment of driving lies when out for a bit of a vintage driving experience..?

Good afternoon gents,
Funny old world - i was following a back link for this video and found this thread! Glad you enjoyed it :-)
That Plus Six almost exactly a year ago has reignited my lust for an Aero 8 (after first driving one at RTCC in 2005!) so hopefully i'll be an owner soon. Do you think a similar Aero 8 video would be of interest?
