I'm thinking about going to the Silverstone Classic this year. The MSCC offer is attractive but we need to arrive early each day. However I had a quick look at hotels in the area and that seems to put a damper on the plans.... soooo expensive. Does anyone have any tips from previous years for where to stay? We had considered taking our camper as well and staying on site... but really that is starting to get silly.. better to just take the camper and leave the Morgan behind if we do that.
Thanks Nick

What do you mean by early, in my experience Silverstone are pretty relaxed about vehicle movements as long as you drive steady and go direct to the parking site or directly out, not just driving around for the sake of it.

Well.it says 9am. But we would need to stay relatively close by anyway as it's a fair way from home in Suffolk.

Just thought I'd have a look at the Rushden A45 Travelodge on those dates - £230 for two nights. About 35 min drive from Silverstone. Thrapston Travelodge is £134 for both nights, and a 45 min drive.
Milton Keynes is usually really expensive if stuff is going on at Silverstone. Try Wellingborough - again about 35 mins away.

Thanks Phil but that's where I started ... no room in Premier Inn Buckingham and the Travelodge was £190 per night.... no disrepect to Travelodge but that's an impressive price :-)
