This is a stunner.. If memory serves me well they were 100k when launched so they have done well but rather disapointingly it has not been used in it's 11 years I think these cars will be the flagship car that Morgan will forever be remembered by long after the ICE has disappeared - they are truly stunning and a huge leap of faith at the time, had it not been for a certain Swiss gentleman it would never have happened. If you have the resources buy it now.

I'll keep the Plus 8. I don't trust low mileage Classic Queens. But with a well specified PlusSix north of £100k it will sell. I hope the new owner uses it.

I looked at this Max with a mate back in 2019/20, when it was up for sale with a different high end vendor. It was in very tired condition inside and out, with the wheels on the wrong end front to back, cracked windscreen and no paperwork V5 or service history available.
It certainly looked like it had had a hard life with its first owner in both Monaco and London. If it's as good as advertised then someone has spent a lot of money.

That's very interesting David and this "This very low-mileage example has recently undergone a full factory preparation, with no-expense spared, meaning the car is presented in fantastic order throughout." statement makes a bit more sense now on such a low mileage car.

I can't explain it other than the understanding at launch time that only 100 would ever be produced but this has been called into question on here at times by current owners so quite where the truth lies I don't know. My understanding was that the Swiss banker that backed the project bought 2 of them and dictated the numbers to protect his interest but that is not hard fact just the rumour at the time.
Also I don't know how many of the other models you mention have been produced which has to be relevant to current values as there seems to be great disparities among this bunch.
Perhaps an Aeromax expert will step up and put us in the know..

Perhaps an Aeromax expert will step up and put us in the know.. As MMC couldn't even shift 100 Centenary Roadsters, I very much doubt 100 ' Max's were genuinely made, perhaps all the better as they remain super rare and a beautiful beast

The Max was the right car at the right time for MMC. Stunning overall design.
It has a look which no other Aero can match, and the only downside is that it's a coupe. But with the space and money I would take a Max over any other Aero.

The Aeromax is a beautiful car without a doubt, but my heart belongs to the Aero Supersport. Utterly sublime. The only downside (apart from not having a hope in hell of ever being able to afford to buy one) is that I seriously doubt I'd get it up our driveway.

For me no other Morgan even approaches this one - I could sell a house to get this one no problem I do hope it doesn't come to market to test me The form, the colour it just has everything.. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2020/06/05/mx.png)

Not sure if you've seen this in the flesh Richard? It was at the Edenbridge Motor Show last summer which I attended and where the local Morgan group (HopMog) won the best car display trophy and this car was the definite stand-out!

No I haven't Paul but I remember it last time it was advertised, I think it was a newish dealer up north (Oakmere maybe) with very good photographs and was totally smitten by it. This picture of the delivery to the lucky new owner was posted on FB by them at handover.

Agree with most people sentiments on here
The Max was and still is a very special car inside and out. No other Aero has come close in my view

I thought the story of the Max's creation was the request for a one off hard top from the Swiss gent with good taste. The reaction was so good they gained agreement for 100 to align with the 100 year centennial for the company. There were a few that did come later due to accident damage etc.
The Supersport was about £20k more at retail following the Max. I was told around 20-30 Coupes were made in a mix of LHD and RHD so ironically it ended up being the rare one not the limited edition Max!
As a Coupe owner I still think the Max was the best shape and balance.
Just time to rent a thimble more petrol before dinner.

I saw an interview with the Swiss Banker that commissioned the Aeromax, Charles Morgan asked if he would allow them to make more on a limited production basis and he answered that it was such a beautiful car that he was so proud to own how could he deny other people that privilege. An astonishing response as most monied people would rather have a unique car. In case you didn’t know it’s called the Aeromax after Charles Morgan’s son Max. The Aston green one was definitely the star of our display at the Edenbridge Motor Show last year, unfortunately SWMBO fell in love with it and reckons that we should get one 😯, dream on sweetheart!

To my eye the AeroMax is pure example of art on wheels, none of the other Aero S4 chassis cars come close... Not even the Plus 8!!
I've sat looking at them trying to work out why it works so well, it seems to combine form and function in an almost organic way.

Undoubtedly the Aeromax is a work of automotive art, though truth be told I feel very fortunate to have been able to buy, run and enjoy my old +8 in so many ways over the years.. Great that the Swiss chap decided he would like a very special Morgan, which created a machine for us all to be able to enjoy in our own way.... I am of a smilar mind and totally happy with my 23 year old Plus 8 it can still get me in trouble if I don't look out so it offers me everything I need. I lust after the Aston Green Aeromax as I happen to think it is possibly the finest looking car of my generation, I could raise the funds if I was being rash but I ask myself would I ever use such a car and the answer is a resounding no. at this value I would fear parking it anywhere in a way that people with shedloads of money wouldn't so not much point in owning it really for me. I will drive and leave my Plus 8 anywhere as it is a car to be enjoyed and used to the full.

Richard your mention of a fear of parking "it" anywhere would seem to be the curse of owning something rather special that affects some owners more than others, especially those afflicted with OCD tendencies to some degree..? As for what might be determined as special to it`s owner, I suspect that could be any machine, let alone an Aeromax or somesuch, though admittedly some machinery would seem to be instant targets for Neanderthals, and parking where the machine sticks out like a sore thumb can be less than smart too..? I do know of one chap who severely limits his enjoyment of his "special" cars, and as such forgoes opportunities to enjoy invitations to functions of all sorts, as he seems hyper relative to parking his cars anywhere HE thinks they might be at risk... even in a car park with numerous high end vehicles.. Yeah for sure there are bound to be places where such risks are deemed to be high..BUT..? Oh well, each to their own..

If I own a car, I drive it and park it where I want: the Plus 8 is often seen in the local Tesco carpark and should I ever have an AeroMax or any other classic exotica I'd do the same.
This discussion reminds me of a conversation I had at Prescott with the owner of a pre-war Bugatti that my knowledgeable pal said was worth close to £2m. The owner had just hammered it up the hill and I asked him if his time had been as expected. His answer was that he could get a bit more out of the old girl and would push a bit harder on the next run. He commented that there was little point in owning the car if it wasn't used as intended and that he had driven the car to Prescott, not trailered it. I agree with his sentiments, machines need to be both looked after and properly and regularly used.

Unfortunately there are some cars that seem to attract vandalism, I've owned a few, and therefore some caution about where you park it is worthwhile. A Morgan doesn't seem to be one of those cars.

As I've mentioned before, I live in a bit of an interesting area. Bloke up the road has a Boxster which he parks on the road. Been keyed twice. The Mog (to date) has been left alone. I do have security cameras and shotguns though.

Williams has a 2015 Plus 8 manual in pearlescent white, with side pipes, Speedster wheels and 4,500 miles for £94,995. Looking around the web there isn't anything for less than £75k but nothing over £100k.
I suspect the last generation Plus 8s, have plateaued and are starting to rise: they are the end of an era.

Putting my S5 up for sale - will appear via a MMC dealer very soon. Very hard to let go but just not getting any use out of it - 600 miles pa which is crazy. Will be priced just below the Allon White car which I think is the only S5 on the market but believe mine will have a higher spec including: Side pipes Auto Wolf sump protection paint film parking sensors It retailed via Williams at £119,330 which must make it one of the highest spec S5's made. 2017 8663 miles If the Allon White car sells soon though, might review the price. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/05/22/aero.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/05/22/bootopen.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/05/22/int2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/05/22/Rear.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/05/22/vintage-and-prestige.1504895054.49809.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/05/22/roofup.jpg)

How much.......god I could be convinced to sell the coupe at that price. Nah, sorry, blood sugar must have been low for a moment. Alistair, you don't need the money. Resist such temptation and drive the car more.

If someone is willing to give me that sort of money it is a serious consideration!
I may not be free but I remain cheapish.
Just time to rent a thimble more petrol before dinner.

Dogmanjack's old car?
I think I would prefer the ASS at 150k which seems to have been for sale for a while.

I think my GTN must be underpriced! My S5 was probably one of the highest specced looking at Clippers car. Strangely enough for Morgan I thought the Info-tainnment/ satnav system in the S5 was brilliant. Once I mastered the satnav couldn't believe how much better than Garmin/TomTom and other car nav's it was. I have only recently found a better system and that is the one that comes on one of my bikes. Used it to sort out our NC500 trip that we did on the bike a few weeks ago. Absolute doddle to do on pc or app and transfers wirelessly across to the bike. Probably can do it on the bike screen as well

I always wondered why Morgan didn't offer the S5 with a choice of none, single or double DIN units in the centre of the dash. I've been using Google maps on my phone as a sat nav for 15 years: recently along with a rock-solid Quad Lock mounting. There's a software redundancy risk with any built-in system - eg BMW's map updates are decidedly hit & miss on a 5 year old iDrive version - and that's with a subscription :-( Will

Normally I'm not a fan of the Morgans with aluminum chassis. But I really admire the Morgan Aeromax. Morgan has created a car that can be placed in a row with Bugatti Atalante and Talbot Lago Teardrop. If I had the money, I would have an Aeromax in my garage next to the trad.
