OK this must have been answered many times (and I've checked previous threads, and Googled it) -- how do I lubricate my bonnet hinge(s) to stop a sqeak ?

Maybe oil the hinges, but also try waxing the cloth webbing the bonnets rests on.

Thanks, done the latter; need to go to Specsavers before I can figure where to gently squirt the oil (I assume they are not like piano hinges ?).

But, my bonnet was a right rattle until I followed the advice of Rog, brilliant idea….. http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/399764/Bonnet_hinge_rattle

with bonnets closed, run 3 in 1along full length of gaps adjacent to the chrome strip. Then wipe off any excess under the bonnet.

Thanks both. Dunnit, a significant improvement. Couldn't hear it this morning, but on the other hand I can now hear the other squeaks & creaks more clearly.......

Squeaks and creaks are good. It means the parts haven't fallen off yet.
