Have a couple of racing pals there .... Debs does all the image management for the Napa BTCC team (as well as being a seriously quick Hillclimb single-seater driver in her own right when she's not working) and and Alex will be driving the McMurty EV fan car ... two drivers ... one an F1 guy and Alex the current British Hillclimb Championship leader ... they hope to have a crack at the outright hill record.

Pity they won't let Alex take his BHC car .... DJ Firestorm, and the wickedest sounding thing on the hills .... the record would be trembling in its boots!!

Thanks Luddite, we may need this if the weather goes the way it is forecast.

I'm only there for Saturday this year and the weather forecast is decidedly uncertain at present, so may also be watching live from my pal's RV!

My forecast looks decent enough unless they're very unlucky with the few showers .... never been as it's a long way and Mrs Image becomes murderous in crowds ... always fancied the Revival ... must make it down one day.

I've been going to the FoS, Revival and Member's Meeting for many years and the Revival really is something special if you enjoy historic racing and a real carnival atmosphere as almost everyone really goes to town on the dressing-up which makes it such a uniquely wonderful event. The circuit is easy to walk all around and there are some many great vantage points too so you always get to see really great racing and close to the action without any catch-fencing spoiling the view or your photos.

I've just got back from FoS. I got a bit damp this morning but have been carrying my coat around since 11:00 am, it's been a sweltering afternoon.

The forecast for Goodwood is rarely correct.

Reviewing my forecast comment, I realised my personal bias had meant I'd only thought about the competetive weekend and not the fact it also ran during the previous days !! 😁

I think Alex has just beaten the official outright hill record at Goodwood FOS .... stood at 41.6 and he's just run a 40.06 .... however this is in qualifying so he has to do it in the comp runs to claim the record ... there has been a 39.9 run but that was in practice and therefore doesn't count as a record either.
